About RoSPA
The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) is a British charity that aims to save lives and prevent life-changing injuries which occur as a result of accidents. For 100 years, RoSPA has been working to change both legislation and attitudes surrounding accidents. From the compulsory wearing of seatbelts and the campaign to stop drink driving, to the Cycling Proficiency Test and to the more recent ban on handheld mobile phones behind the wheel, RoSPA has been instrumental in shaping our society for the better, preventing millions of deaths and serious injuries along the way.
The Overview
RoSPA needed to develop a pack to launch their Brighter Beginnings Appeal during ROSPA’s Family Safety Week 2018. The Keeping Kids Safe pack was to provide disadvantaged parents/parents-to-be of children under-five with helpful tips and tools to help give little ones a safer start in life.
The pack needed to include details for Lifeline, ROSPA’s free telephone and email safety enquiry service, but also practical tools including cupboard latch, a nursery thermometer, a falls prevention height chart, a flannel and a weaning spoon.
The Challenge
RoSPA were faced with using multiple suppliers and printers to source, print and collate these packs. This was going to be time consuming and risked a lack of consistency in the branding and quality. The RoSPA team were also struggling to devise a suitable packaging method for the packs and were looking instead at using a plastic envelope.
The Solution
As an existing partner, Graphic Arts Group proposed a branded presentation box to add greater impact and perceived value. Graphic Arts Group went on to be the sole supplier for sourcing the various items, printing, fulfilment, storage and distribution of the packs. Using a single supplier helped to improve efficiency and ensure consistency in print and brand quality.
